Eco-futuristic settlement in a Martian canyon by Lukas Yosi Filip

Czech architectural CG artist Lukas Yosi Filip has created a set of images of what could be an eco-futuristic settlement in a terraformed Martian canyon for his Desert Ark concept (the last sanctuaries of human knowledge, culture and research in a dystopian post-climate change world where deserts has taken over the Earth).

Images from Martian Land (2015) film

"Martian Land" (2015) is a low-budget feature film with amateurish acting and a senseless story of Martian colonies being overrun by a deadly sandstorm. Here are some CGI images from the film:

HD images from Mission to Mars (2000) movie

Mission to Mars (2000) is a bit weird sci-fi movie where a mysterious Martian structure is found on Mars. When all of the first astronaut crew on Mars is killed by a monstrous sandstorm force a rescue mission is launched from Earth to investigate and bring back possible survivors. They find one barely sane and make contact with the last Martian ship long left in the alien structure.

Despite the weird story Mission to Mars has some of the most memorable Martian movie scenes; here are HD images from them

Images from The last days on Mars movie

The horror sci-fi thriller "The last days on Mars" (2013) by itself with its zombie virus nonsense is a complete crap, but visually it's quite attractive. Here are some of the best images from the movie (Open link in new tab to view in full resolution):

Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets (2004)

Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets movie poster
Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets (2004) is a fictional documentary made by BBC about a manned voyage through the solar system. Five astronauts are traveling with nuclear powered spaceship Pegasus and land on Venus, then on Mars, then they make a close flyby of the Sun for a gravity assist maneuver slingshotting them to Jupiter's system where they visit Io and Europa, then Saturn's icy rings and finally land on Pluto. On their way home they also land on a comet experiencing its destabilization when it closes Sun.

On their voyage they encounter many problems of which the death of one of them (because of a radiation overdose during the flyby of the Sun) is the most depressing one. In all the hardships the landing on Mars where they are delayed only by a sandstorm seems to be one of the easiest one.

There are some scenes from the Mars part of the movie (click to view in full resolution):
