New Shanghai 2117 vertical forest skyscraper eco-city on Mars by Stefano Boeri

Italian architect Stefano Boeri has created an interesting vision for a colony of Shanghai on the Red Planet in 2117 - a vertical forest skyscraper eco-city called "New Shanghai". The vision is exhibited at Shanghai Urban Space and Art Season 2017, opened on October 15th in Minsheng Port in Shanghai.

Militaristic Martian settlers and their Settlement Defense Front are the villains in the latest Call of Duty game Infinite Warfare (2016) - a first-person shooter (FPS) set in an undefined future where Earth nations are competing for power in the Solar system with ruthless and technologically more advanced but outnumbered space settlers.

"Making life multiplanetary". Official schematics for BFR by Elon Musk, SpaceX

Today SpaceX CEO and lead designer Elon Musk provided an update of SpaceX vision to make life multiplanetary and colonize Mars. Previous name for the colonization class SpaceX booster&spaceship - "Interplanetary Transport System" - has been dropped and now Musk referred to it by the old acronym - BFR*.

SpaceX downscaled ITS spaceship landing on Mars

Fan vision of possible SpaceX's scaled down version of the ITS spaceship (for 9m booster) landing on Mars close to another ship which has already landed; created by NASASpaceFlight.com forum members redliox and tea monster (Owen Egan).

We will learn the actual SpaceX design for the scaled down version of the Interplanetary Transport System (ITS) only during Elon Musk's presentation at the 2017 International Astronautical Conference in Adelaide, Australia, September 29.
